How to add new parameter at Optimization Scenario template

Wed September 02, 2020 11:09 AM

With the new Scheduler Optimization solution, the client can add a new Parameter to the Model level, here we will describe how simple is to add this new parameter that already exists on the Model side to the Optimization Scenario inside of the IBM Scheduler application.

Once you are inside the Work List record: Graphical Scheduling, Graphical Assignment, or Graphical Scheduling - Large Project, the user should be able to check at the More action session the Template scenarios options.

Example:
- Graphical Scheduling application and open the Schedule record
- Click at the Resource Leveling Template action
- Inside of the template dialog, you will be able to click the Additional Parameters tab
- Click at the New Row button to add a new Parameter line
- That will be available on All-new Resources scenarios create after to modify the Additional Parameters

After the edit, the user must create a new Scenario and this Parameter will now send to the Optimization:

Additional Parameters

A list of possible additional model parameters already managed by the current models can be found there :

Custom parameters can be managed by extensions

A full list of SOLVER parameters managed by CP Optimizer (Cplex scheduling optimization engine used by GA,GS,GSLP models) can be found there :
param cpoptimizer 22.1
Typical examples are : SolutionLimit, FailLimit, Workers, RandomSeed, OptimalityTolerance, LogPeriod, DefaultInferenceLevel ...
