Guardium VUG Sept 2024 summary - Guardium V12.1

The September Virtual User Group topic was on What's New in GuardiumV12.1. 
Summary
 
Lisette Contreras, IBM Technical Support, provided the Support Update. Then Dawn LaPides, IBM Security Learning Content Development, gave a brief overview of IBM training for Guardium --see Learning Guardium links at the end.
Nagendra Pattavardhanam and Usman Minhas, IBM Security Product Managers, presented on Guardium V12.1. The main themes of these release were to simplify infrastructure, enhance scalability and streamline compliance. Here's a brief overview of what's new:
Manage Guardium infrastructure more easily 
Centralized management features for Policy Export, Health Monitoring, Vulnerability and Patch Management, streamline deployment, configuration, and maintenance across multiple environments.
Streamline Compliance: make audit processes more efficient
Customized email templates and detailed audit reports with record counts and filenames streamline communication, facilitate data validation, and ensure seamless integration with SIEM tools.
Expanded Support for hybrid Cloud environments
Broader monitoring of modernized data sources to accelerate compliance and data protection efforts though native agents and universal connectors
Real-time insights: advanced analytics and smarter alerting
Ability to detect additional security incidents such as database ransomware attacks, SQL injection, non-encrypted access to sensitive data, and more.

A couple of VUG members asked about onboarding CLI accounts into CyberArk and HashiCorp with password rotation. These are requirements that we are working on. Thanks for those who entered Ideas/RFEs or voted on these.
