Where is Auto Open used?

Auto Open can be used in Dynamic Publish environments. In a Dynamic Publish environment, the Auto Open setting will automatically trigger the project you specified to open, which will initiate the full calculation of the project.

Auto Open is extremely important in any Dynamic Publish environment and must be set for calculations to start automatically. For more information, see What is the Difference between a Real Time Calculation and Dynamic Publish?. 

When do I need to think about Auto Open settings?

• When a new project is created
• When a project name has changed
• When you delete or remove a project

Can I use Auto Open with more than one project?
Yes! Multiple projects can be opened using Auto Open. Please specify which projects when submitting your support request.

Can I specify the order in which I want my projects to open?

Yes! The first project that is specified in the request will open first, then the next, etc. In many cases, this will be determined by length of calculation times.

Does this apply to all environments (Dev, Stg, Prd)?

Yes! All environments have the ability to use Auto Open, but they are separate in that each environment can contain different Auto Open projects. For example, you could set Auto Open in your Stage environment only, and it would not affect Development or Production environments.

How do I know which projects are set to auto open?

You can contact our Support team to find out which projects have Auto Open Settings enabled, and receive more assistance for further changes or questions.
