Good Afternoon,

I hope that you and yours are all doing well. I came across several news segments over the weekend that alleges age discrimination at IBM. Some people feel that to spark innovation and improve market appeal that more youthful "New Collar" employees must be hired. I have a different suggestion. I recommend that IBM does the following:
  1. Start other companies
  2. Purchase In-Q-Tel and Crunchbase
  3. Build offices in exotic places throughout the world where the cost of living is low
  4. Build major facilities in rural parts of Africa to obtain a more "Bold" and "Progressive" image
  5. Buy ESRI or build all AcrGIS capabilities into Cognos Analytics and don't settle for less: https://developers.arcgis.com/
  6. Patent new supply chain workflows and methodologies especially those that solve global climate and social problems
  7. Do not alter the logo, just create new companies with more streamlined logos
  8. Let the world know that IBM is a member of Oasis and how that helps global cyber security: https://www.oasis-open.org/committees/membership.php?wg_abbrev=cti
  9. Sponsor hack-a-thons and provide grants.
  10. Create a Nuget library that enables Visual Studio to build JAR manifests from C# for Cognos Analytics: All within Visual Studio (Not Visual Studio Code) - Write the Java class, compile it creating a Java file, then build the appropriate manifest from the Java file.

Since GDIT is an IBM partner, I am sure that there are plenty of GDIT Business leaders can help IBM enhance innovation and become more progressive without replacing folks. I am not looking for another role, but I am available offline if anyone wants any further suggestions. My resume is attached outlining my background.

If you are an IBM leader and care to have a casual conversation, do not hesitate to call me at 301-906-1292. It's all good.

Warm Regards,
Eli
