You may want to include descriptions stored in the alndomain table (object)to your Ad Hoc reports. You can do this by including the alndomain table as a child object in the report object structure. In this example, the People application is used to illustrate how you can include the Locale Description (from the Locale Lookup) in the ROS.

1. Access the Object Structures application, and open up the REP_PERSON Report Object Structure. (*This is available in Version 7.1.1.6)
2. Add a new record with parent=PERSON and child=ALNDOMAIN
3. Open the relationship lookup and select LOCALE. Note the relationship is domainid = 'LOCALE' and value=:locale.
4. Set the cardinality to SINGLE and leave the join as optional because PERSON.LOCALE is a non-required field.
5. Enter a description of Locale Description.

6. In the Person application, select Create Report to access the Query Based Report window. The Locale Description displays.
7. Add the description from the Locale Description Child Object to the Selected Fields.

8. Submit the Ad hoc report. It displays the original value and its description that we enabled through the ALNDOMAIN child object.
