IBM’s new AI supercomputer Blue Vela, and how to use InstructLab on IBM Cloud [3144]

IBM has deployed its new supercomputer Blue Vela (Dell XE9680, Nvidia H100, InfiniBand, and IBM Storage Scale System 6000). Learn about the architecture and design of this new system and how it is used by IBM’s Model Factory to train its Granite series models. Granite models opened-sourced by IBM can be enhanced with InstructLab. InstructLab is an open source project for enhancing large language models (LLMs) used in generative artificial intelligence (gen AI) applications. Created by IBM and Red Hat, the InstructLab community project provides a cost-effective solution for improving the alignment of LLMs and opens the doors for those with minimal machine learning experience to contribute. In this session learn how to use InstructLab on the IBM Cloud.
