Within your organization, who is responsible for the Security, Scheduling and Storage parts of the equation?

Our current workplace challenges are down to siloed skills that are being isolated from other areas. Scheduling using anything other than internal product Schedulers means that it is difficult to analyse issues with new Security in Spectrum Protect.

Within your organization, who is responsible for the Security, Scheduling and Storage parts of the equation? Additionally, how can we clearly determine the Root Cause when complex environments are the new norm?

In our healthcare organization, the storage team has responsibility for all scheduling EXCEPT TDP backups of databases which are under the DBA's realm.  They install scripts on servers to run SQL utility backups to a file or volume that we then backup as part of the overall server backup.  Daily, we get reports from a third party tool that tells us about unsuccessful backups or servers or files not backed up for some period that we are responsible for resolving.
