  • 1.  not compatible with the existing storage in the pool

    Hi,

    following issue:

    I have a V7000 Gen1 with pool1 (one mdisk RAID6 and 12 NL disks)

and pool0 (also one mdisk RAID6 with 16 SAS disks).

After buying 7 additional SAS disks, same model with the old ones,

I tried to create another mdisk and add it to pool0

but it is grayed out when I try to add it to pool0 (not compatible with the existing storage in the pool) while it let's me add it to pool1!

    Any idea what is wrong?

Thanks in advance for any suggestion

    ag

    HI,

I have a similar case on FS9150 2way cluster which require to add another mdisk with 9x FCMs with the same type to existing pool.

But the same message occurred when creating it on GUI.

Could i ask you how to solve it at that time ?

    Hi, long time later...
    It worked via CLI

    Hi Apostolos,

going the CLI way in fact is the only way to go.

This is due to the RAID config presets in the GUI, which prevents a user from creating configurations, which the architects considered sub-optimal.
