  • 1.  IBM TS433 DRIVE CLEAN PROBLEM

    Hello 

    Even though I cleaned a drive, it still wants to be cleaned.   What do ı neet to check ?  other two drives are working fine


    I used it, it gives a warning about firmware update. Why did it only ask for a firmware update on one drive? Where can I find the appropriate firmware?

    Hello,

    Please open a case with IBM Tape Storage Support for further investigation on your issue.
    This could be a hardware issue with the tape drive so we will need drive dump.

    The new firmware can be found here: https://www.ibm.com/support/fixcentral/
    You need to search for the tape library and then from the latest tape library code level to find the newest tape drive firmware. We can provide the direct download link with instructions on the case.

    Why can't I download firmware using my serial number of my device? Do I have to have a paid agreement?
