    Hi, I use TS3200 and am having a hard time figuring out which is a bad tape when my log is telling me “drive warn” or “crit tape alert flag”.

    Hi,

     

    this could possibly mean that you need a new cleaning tape.

    Hi Espen - thank you for your reply. Do you know of any ways to troubleshoot whether or not I need a new cleaning tape? Or would you suggest I replace it and then just see if the problem persists? Thanks for helping me.

    You could do a manual clean from web gui or display, and look for error Messages. Cleaning tapes have 50 cleaning operations, and if you assume 1 clean pr. month pr. drive average, you can Guess cleaning tape Lifetime.
