Hello Scott,
Yes, you have right, I miss this. I meant on Webseal password once we create a webseal it is automatically set on backend LDAP.
I think we need to set in LDAP stanza it.
I found only these "bind" password in config file:
[ldap]
bind-pwd = **obfuscated**
[junction]
basicauth-dummy-passwd = **obfuscated**
[aznapi-configuration]
pd-user-pwd = **obfuscated**
[itim]
principal-password = **obfuscated**
So this is just a theoretical question. Our current solution now if needed it for some reason we re-create Webseal and restore snapshot.
Regards,
János

Janos,
I assume that you are referring to the password which is created for the WebSEAL instance itself (i.e. not an end-user password)? If so, there is no easy way to change the password. You could change the password directly in the user registry, but would also then need to update the password in the WebSEAL configuration file so that it matches the expected password. This would be a manual process.
I hope that this helps.

Subject: Webseal LDAP password change
Dear All,
If we a new webseal create (on-premise) by default a password is generated in backend remote LDAP.
The question:
is there any way to reset / change this password?
