Should new RACF databases be created as VSAM or non-VSAM?

    Hello to each other,
    I am new here in the group and look forward to a lively participation.
    My question is this: We are converting from Top Secret to RACF soon. Now we are considering whether it makes sense to create the RACF databases as VSAM or non-VSAM files. After all, since the latest patches, VSAM datasets are supposed to work for split operation in RACF.
    Has anyone of you already gathered experience with RACF databases as VSAM. What are the advantages, what are the disadvantages.
    I would be happy to share your experiences.
