Is there a way to get just a list of Cataloged Datasets on any LPAR?  Is there a way that the CKFCOLL can only collect information on cataloged Datasets?

NEWLIST TYPE=DSN provides selection criteria for data sets:

newlist type=dsn
  select exits(catalog)
  sortlist dsname catalog

Refer to the CARLa syntax manual for a list of field names.

Why would you like to collect only information on catalogued data sets?  Is this due to the size of the CKFREEZE data set when VTOC and VVDS entries are collected, in addition to the catalog entries?  Or is there another reason?

If size is a concern, in a multi-LPAR environment, you could try to collect a full CKFREEZE on one LPAR (only), and all other LPARs create a smaller CKFREEZE using SHARED=NO.  You would allocate a combination of small CKFREEZEs plus the large CKFREEZE to run your reports.

You could also attempt to use SHARED=NO,CAT=YES to see if sufficient information is collected to report on catalog information.
