Certificate Warnings After May 2022 Windows Update

  • 1.  Certificate Warnings After May 2022 Windows Update

Has anyone noticed that after the May 2022 Windows Server update, certificates generated for iPads give event ID 39 warnings?
I have tried to push a new certificate out, presuming is would have the new required SID, which worked for my Windows devices, but the certificates obtained using Cloud Extender and pushed to my iPads do not contain the new identifiers. Other than manually mapping all my certs, has anyone else found a way to get this to work?

CVE-2022-26931 and CVE-2022-26923 address an elevation of privilege vulnerability that can occur when the Kerberos Distribution Center (KDC) is servicing a certificate-based authentication request. Before the May 10, 2022 security update, certificate-based authentication would not account for a dollar sign ($) at the end of a machine name.
