  • 1.  idle screen lock

    We do not enforce passcodes, our tablets are set to kiosk with the policy. They are tablets in-cab with our drivers and do not want to add a passcode layer to them doing their work. when the set it down to collect paperwork the screen locks. is there a way to change the idle screen lock without applying a passcode policy? we tried turning on the passcode but never setting a minimum length hoping it would interpret that as no-passcode. Let's just say we broke it....

    Any thoughts?

    Screen idle time to be controlled through the device settings rather than maas360.  We have had this issue before where a device was locking after 30 seconds and having spoken with IBM tech support, they suggested that this is not something that could be completely controlled through maas360.  If its an Android tablet, you set this through Settings > Display > Screen Timeout.

    There is an option within maas360 to stop the display timing out at all, but that's a big drain on the battery

    Darren - Thanks! That was the conclusion we had come to. My offsite user has confirmed changing the settings outside of kiosk mode works.

    There are some service hardening measures which apply depending on the type of device and enrollment type, can you please confirm whether: 
    - Android devices (Device Admin or Device Owner mode)? You can see this information on the Summary page. 
    - iOS devices (Standard or Supervised enrollment)? Again visible on Summary page.
