    Anyone having issues with App Updates not Applying Manual Configurations?
    We have issues lately where app updates do not appear to include the manual attributes we have configured. We have to do a selective wipe and re-deploy the app to iPads.

    This sounds like it needs investigation by our Support team. 
    Could you please raise a ticket and ask them to look into it? 
    Please provide examples, screenshots, as much detail as you can.

    Hi Lisa
    Thanks for coming back. I've spent some time investigating and can see that the App Config has been applied since the app was first distributed, is that correct? 
    Could you maybe start with a fresh enrollment / install and see if with the new version the configuration is applied, to see whether this is due to the current configuration? 
    The Support team will be in contact with you in any case and you can reply on the ticket for any additional information or questions you may have.

    The scenario is this:

    1.) iPad is initially deployed, the app deployed, and everything works great. The app has a custom attribute that essentially allows our app vendor to monitor what devices are authorized to use the app. Without this custom attribute, the app will not allow people to login. 
    2.) After initial deployment, everything works fine. Then randomly, with no logic we can find, the app will stop allowing people to log in indicating that the custom attribute is not present. 
    3,) The only way around this we have found is to wipe the ipad or do a selective wipe removing and reinstalling the app. Note that deleting the app from apps installed on the device, and redeploying, does not fix the issue. 

    So we know that wiping the iPad fixes the issue. The question we have is why is this custom attribute being stripped randomly. Our guess is that it is happening during app updates etc. but not on all devices either. 

    We have submitted logs.

    Hi Lisa
    I'm interested to know when this AppConfig file was pushed out, whether at original time of distributing app to devices or afterwards. 
    I get the impression that it might have been later and that this might be causing the issue. 
    However theories only go so far as you know and the Support team will be able to move the investigation forward if you can provide the log files requested.
