  • 1.  VPP in Bus MGR doesn't appear to sync with M360

    Hey,
    Really hoping someone can help or has seen this before.
    One of my clients has Apple Business Manager and it is set up correctly. The VPP token has been brought into MaaS360 and the association is valid.
    Up until recently all we had to do to add more licences was add them via the VPP, MaaS360 could see this and all was good.
    Now however, we have a situation where we've added plenty enough licences for an app in Bus MGR (let's say 125), MaaS doesn't think there's enough saying 70 installed out of 85 available?
    The client when removing devices is doing everything right - remove the licence, remove control and hide the device. If I show removed devices/pending uninstall there aren't any so we're stumped as to why the licence pool isn't reflecting the changes. 
    Any advice or pointers guys?

    The numbers should update automatically with each token sync.  Do the numbers update if they manually refresh the VPP token in the portal?  Do licenses that should have been reclaimed still reflect as assigned to devices after said token sync?

    Hey Matt,
    No they're not updating.
    We've done a soft sync and a hard sync a few times now. I can't see any licences that haven't been released, the licences seem to correspond with the devices enrolled, we just can't add any more because MaaS says we don't have any spare?
    Not sure if this has something to do with it but, when I view the VPP token properties in MaaS I can see Auto App Addition status failed because the app already exists.

    That shouldn't have any impact over importing new licenses.  One thing you could try is downloading a new VPP token and deleting the old one from the portal (as opposed to using the update action).  This won't impact anything out in the field already.  If that doesn't work, I would open a support case as we may need dev to take a look behind the scenes to see what's going on.

    That was my next thing to  try but I was worried we'd lose all the apps on the devices already deployed. If they don't get removed then we'll try that.
