Using Geographic Logical Volume Manager it is possible to replicate AIX Logical Volumes over IP - an ideal solution when your application does not support some form of replication itself over IP for cloud environments.
The recently published Redpaper "Asynchronous Geographic Logical Volume Mirroring (GLVM) Best Practices for Cloud Deployment" covers the design, operation, implementation and recommended best practices for GLVM.
This Redpaper doesn't cover the implementation as part of a PowerHA solution, as it is felt that this detail is covered well in other publications.
