  • 1.  PHP 7.4 issue

    PHP 7.4 (all variants) went out of support over a year ago from the PHP perspective as documented here:

    https://www.php.net/supported-versions.php

    I have run into a native PHP bug that corrupts the stack and results in the PHP thread terminating. The bug is in zend_execute(), which is part of php.

    Because PHP 7.4 is no longer supported, I am unable to get this bug resolved.

    What are the plans to make a supported version of PHP available?

    php 7.4 went out of support yesterday ( 28th Nov midnight ).

    We will be migrating to php8 as soon as possible.

    PHP 7.4 has been on security only fixes for about a year now. No functional fixes.

    Do we have an update on this?

    PHP is now on the list of top 10 worst offenders for the AIX platform according to our sec team scan results, if anyone keeps score.
    Mainly because IBM builds are systematically behind the curve.  Please take that into consideration.  Happy new year!

    PHP 8 is published from AIX toolbox sometime back.
