Hi,
I find out that the version of RDI9.8.0.2 is still based on eclipse 4.23 and based on the documentation that you provide the last version compatible is the 6.5.
You need at least eclipse 4.26 or above to install a newer version of egit
Regards,
A.L.

I'm sorry it took so long to answer. I've been out of office and I somehow corrupted my 9.8 installation some time ago. I did get a working 9.8.0.2 going and was able to install eGit 6.5 again. When I tried to install 6.7, it looked to try and install 6.9. I went here:
https://github.com/eclipse-egit/egit/wiki/FAQ#where-can-i-find-older-releases-of-egit
I opened the 6.7 link and followed the instructions, but saw pretty much the same issues (will remove old integration and not install new integration). So I'm still using eGit 6.5.
I haven't been able to resolve my WAR file issue either. I still have to use 9.6 to deal with WAR files.

Do you know if we can with the release 9.8.0.2 upgrade to the latest release in egit?
Because the system request me to update to the 6.7.0?

For anyone who runs into this issue. I found I needed an older version of EGIT. "Adding new software" using https://archive.eclipse.org/egit/updates-6.5 worked:

I'm on RDi 9.6 still, so I'm not much help with my team members on 9.8. I don't remember ever having to load git/egit, but I suppose it's possible I had to do this. One member is 'getting errors' but I don't know what those errors are. It looks like he is attempting to install egit 6.6.1. On RDi 9.6, I have egit 4.6.0. My question, what version should I tell my team members to try using, and how do we get it into their RDi?
