If you mount the at the same mount point which is used before then you don't have to change anything.

hi Sangamesh
quick question before i update dnf repository.
Even if DNF already installed do you have to run the ezinstall command every time you have downloaded the latest toolbox or do you just change the DNF conf to point to the new toolbox directories
thanks in advance
Brian

Hi Brian,
You can unmount /mnt and just mount the latest media image with existing mount point(/mnt) you are using.
This will have the latest toolbox media images at the same path without effecting your existing DNF setup.

hi
I have downloaded the latest toolbox . My issue is the following on how to update as after the last install we have the following directories still listed.
Do we leave these directories in place before extracting the new toolbox
CONTENTS.toolbox
contrib
docs
ESD-Toolbox_for_Linux_Apps_Common_7.1-7.3_112023_LKT010326.tar.gz
ezinstall
installp
LICENSES
lost+found
README.toolbox
RPMS
RPMS.bygroup
SRPMS
usr
When we run the extract /mnt/ezinstall/ppc/dnf_aixtoolbox_local.sh /mnt does this just copy new files to the repository and install any as required.
would we then run dnf update at this point to update all the latest issued rpms

Hi Brian,
The plan is to update the toolbox media once in 6 months.
You can expect the updated ESD-Toolbox be issued along with the latest SP.

Hi
We have successfully installed DNF using ESD-Toolbox_for_Linux_Apps_Common_7.1-7.3_112023_LKT010326.tar.gz and updated all listed rpms etc.
Will a new ESD-Toolbox be issued along with the latest SP
The customer would like all the rpms listed on the systems to be updated through DNF which should be rolled out quarterly for example
What should be the process so that all the latest rpms and pre reqs are downloaded and added to DNF repositories.
thanks
