    Yes its fine. The man page, though not always, is usually good on the native LVM commands if there is concurrent mode restrictions. I've done this exact one several times in the last year or two.  I don't remember that exact one being limited though I know factor size (-t) has been. Not sure why cli_chvg doesn't support it other than an oversight. Though cli_chvg is saying it supports factor size. I know it can't be used on scalable vgs that I think most are these days.
