    hello everyone 

    am new to AIX environment and system (installations and configuring ), so i kinda have some wired questions, i have Huawei server and on it i have installed proxmox v7.1 and am trying to create new VM with AIX 7.2 on it ,but the iso wont load or boot , and i didnt find any info about it 

    i appreciate any help

    I'm thinking your Huawei server is an x86 processor based server.  AIX does not run and is not supported on any x86 processors.  AIX is a big endian based OS which probably explains why the media cannot be read.  You may find there have been lab experiments running AIX on KVM hypervisor on x86 based systems, but these are purely experiments and not supported in any way.

    hello charlie.

    thank you for your replay about the matter, i thought it was the huawei hardware was the issue , so i tried to run it natively on my machine (HP laptop) with VisualBox
    and it didn't boot too ,keep in mind that my machine is x64 processor based, can you help me on that ?

    hello Hashim,

    AIX is supported only on a ibm Power processors. You cannot install AIX on intel or amd processors and you cannot run aix on x86 servers or a laptop or a virtual environnement (proxmox, visualbox, vsphere...)
    You should consider invest in a pseries power7, 8, 9 or 10 to install and run aix 7.2. take out your wallet
