That cleared up my concern about support going forward. I wonder why IBM does not role this support into DB2 for IBMi.

I would like to point out that the end of support is announced against specific release(s) of OmniFind product, NOT against OmniFind product itself.
From my table and yours in our previous posts, in your current IBM i V7R3, OmniFind release V1R4 is supported (my table) and it will be supported until September 30 this year (your table). As for the target IBM i V7R5 you will upgrade to, you need to use OmniFind V1R6 and this OmniFind release is NOT yet announced for end of support.
You can also find the additional table I provide below in this IBM withdrawal announcement made in September last year: Licensed program software withdrawal and support discontinuance: IBM i 7.3 and miscellaneous products (I find this using Google search on "ibm 5733 omf service discontinue" and it is the first entry in the result page)
In summary, 5733-OMF product is still available for release 1.4, 1.5, and 1.6. Release 1.4 will reach its end of support on September 30 this year.
