    Dear Team,
    i am facing an issue regarding linkXlc not found,  when i am writing command which LinkxLC out put is there is no linkxlc in /usr/bin/etc/usr/sbin/usr/bin/x11/sbin/usr/java7_64/jre/bin/java7_64/bin .. can you please help? and anyone please confirm can we change rpm packg directory during installation thanks

    I think by default linkxlC gets installed at /opt/IBM/xlC/13.1.0/bin/linkxlC
    Either you want to add /opt/IBM/xlC/13.1.0/bin path in your PATH environment or give absolute path. 

    Regarding your other question.. are you asking if you can install rpm packages in a different directory than specified by rpm package ? 
    If that is for AIX and packages are from AIX toolbox it is not supported. The rpm packages are not relocatable.

    Hello Usama

    As Sanket advised,

    Add this xlc path in your /etc/environment file

    PATH=/usr/bin/etc/usr/sbin/usr/bin/x11/sbin/usr/java7_64/jre/bin/java7_64/bin  ..What ever your old PATH in file ,at its end put ":" colon and put your XlC path like below and comment or remove old path line .

     

    PATH==/usr/bin/etc/usr/sbin/usr/bin/x11/sbin/usr/java7_64/jre/bin/java7_64/bin: /opt/IBM/xlC/13.1.0/bin 

     And re-login you should be good.
