    Hi support folks

Was going through the dp articles

one of topic couldn't get straight

Is datapower meant for direct access to internet without any firewall restrictions on client ip. i.e; From internet , client can be access dp services (lets say port 443)

Is datapower alone can handle the threats which is prone to attacks from the internet.

at the basic level , waf , ddos - dp supports but is this enough to protect from internet traffic ?.

please shed some light on this area

Without hesitation, absolutely DataPower is meant to be an endpoint sitting directly on the internet. DataPower can implement ACLs to restrict IP traffic, SSL  for TLS, and quite extensive DDOS and MXDOS attack settings in each of the service types. You can also implement SLM to prevent overload traffic, and if you do not have existing front end load balancers, DataPower can self load-balance.
