The MQ MacOS
Developer Toolkit has just been updated with an Arm-native capability. The single package now includes "universal" binaries - libraries and programs - that can run as either x64 or arm64 depending on your Mac's hardware architecture. So you don't need special options, or to use the Rosetta emulator, when compiling or running an MQ client application. The README file in the package lists a few limitations, but these are not likely to be too important for a developer environment.
I expect there will be more information later, and I plan to write a longer article elsewhere to talk about some unique challenges in getting this to work.
But this is something I know a number of people have been looking for so you can now try it.
