Hi Folks,
ILMT licencing on cloud (AWS in this case) - sigh !
We have ILMT in the cloud - we are running good old-fashioned MQ multi-instance in VMs (don't ask).
They are in an auto-scale group with no fixed IP so, if a machine disappears and re-appears then it will probably have a new IP - and almost certainly a new hostname.
So, if this was a static IP world then I could tell ILMT to allocate one of our primary standby licences to one of our IP and the standby licence to another IP.
However, we're not in that world.
So, how on earth do I licence MQ on the cloud in this environment please? I don't know how ILMT recognises a machine other than IP - I don't think there's any other way is there ? It would be nice if I could tag a machine and then get ILMT to recognise that.
any thoughts/experiences ?
btw: already asked this on the ILMT forum and got no reply (!)
many thanks!
John.
