  • 1.  How to Scale RDQM Scale

    Hello,
Please help me find the answer to this question, how to scale RDQM cluster?   Is it possible to add more nodes or we just create another RDQM with more CPU, memory and swap.

    Thank you,

    Rajesh

You cannot scale RDQM cluster. You would need to build new cluster.
on an existing cluster you can build multiple qmgrs.

A queue manager can only run on one host so once you have reached the maximum CPU, memory, disk, network you will need to scale horizontally by creating new a RDQM HA Group and more queue managers. If you need to scale MQ take a look at Uniform Clusters, a Uniform Cluster utilising multiple queue managers across multiple servers can scale and provide high levels of service availability. See, https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/ibm-mq/9.3?topic=cluster-about-uniform-clusters
