Aspera client hot folder functionality not working - destination is a storage connected via SMBv3

We connect to an Aspera Server hosted by our vendor. We use Aspera Client to upload/download content to/from this server.
On our end, the destination for the downloads is either a storage connected via iSCSI or a storage connected via SMBv3

We have no issues with downloading content to the storage connected via iSCSI using Hot Folders.
When we use hot folders for the storage connected via SMBv3, we get the error "Init hot folder failed: The system cannot find the path specified."
We are able to "drag and drop" the files from the server to the smbv3 storage without any issues.
We have mapped the destination so it can be browsed from the File Explorer as well as the Aspera client.

any suggestions on how we can resolve this?

Note that hot folder are scanned by the windows service named "AsperaSync", typically running with user "svcAspera" (check using services.msc)
So, make sure that the scanned folder is visible by that user.

For example, start a CMD with that user: start /user:svcAspera cmd

If it is not visible that's the condition to fix.

    Thanks for sharing.

This has resolved the issue. We created a local user account with the same credentials used by the Aspera service and it works like a charm.

In case you need to reset the password on the aspera client, please remember to update the password for the 2 services that use the credentials to run. You may need to restart the services after updating the password here.
