I went through a few internal threads hoping to find a solution to your issue - I have seen the following things that have worked for others.
1. Someone suggested to try and run "apic unlock" and then "apic status" again.
2. other option is to make sure your ESXi, VMware and server timestamp matches.
seems like that has worked for other folks but please let me know while I try and keep looking for a more concrete solution.
