  • 1.  APIC DP Token consume issue

    Hi Folks, 

    We have an issue while using given tokens from the Native OAuth module on the below environments.

    APIC -> 2018.X
    DP -> Firmware:IDG.2018.4.1.17 - Build:334278

    There is three data power as DP1, DP2, and DP3. The issue looks like a sync problem. The issue was tested via JMeter with the below cases. The test cases simply take a token from OAuth API and try to consume it via an API on any GET operation.

    Token was taken from DP1, API was called on DP1 : That test is passed.
    Token was taken from DP2, API was called on DP2 : That test is passed.
    Token was taken from DP3, API was called on DP3 : That test is passed.
    Token was taken from DP1, API was called on DP2 : That test is faild.
    Token was taken from DP1, API was called on DP3 : That test is passed.
    Token was taken from DP2, API was called on DP1 : That test is faild.
    Token was taken from DP2, API was called on DP3 : That test is faild.
    Token was taken from DP3, API was called on DP1 : That test is passed.
    Token was taken from DP3, API was called on DP2 : That test is faild.

    All DP System logs look fine, Kindly need your help to could trace and solve the issue.

    Thank you for posting your question. I would suggest running your test with the flag and reviewing the results for greater details then just success/failure
    "APIm-Debug: true"  (see https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/api-connect/2018.x?topic=connect-troubleshooting-oauth#oauth_troubleshoot__oauthdebug).

    There are many different points that could be at issue and I would suggest if the above debug logging doesn't provide any insight to look at opening up a support ticket but first collecting the OAuth MustGather to speed up the process: https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/mustgather-oauth-problems-ibm-api-connect

    Please provide which gateway type you use and whether the token management system is enabled.  The above is remarkable seems like token management is enabled

    We fixed that issue by decreasing the NTP check time from 15 minutes to 5 minutes.
