Attend this technical webcast and learn how to prepare for the latest IBM Event Streams (Kafka) technology in combination with IBM MQ on z/OS platform. We'll introduce Apache Kafka and IBM Event Streams and IBM MQ and system Z experts will discuss integrating Kafka and applications on IBM Z.

Event-driven applications introduce new integration patterns as we look to gather the events required to drive them. These events may need to be extracted from existing backend databases, mainframe applications, analytics systems, SaaS systems, or even other cloud-native applications. This workshop reviews some differences between traditional messaging systems and event streaming, describes different techniques for emitting these events and explains how best to achieve the marriage of these two technologies. Following the discussion, we will demo the integration of IBM MQ on zOS with Kafka.
