    Hi All,

Could you please, let me know how to move file from one SFTP server to another SFTP server using MQFTE.

    Regards,

I have not tried the combination you mentioned but it should be possible transfer files from one sftp server to another sftp server using two MQ MFT bridge agents. One bridge agent will need to be configured as source agent that pulls files from source sftp server. Another bridge agent will need to be configured to send files to destination sftp server.

That would depend on how the sftp servers are configured. If server is configured to accept userid/password then you don't need certificates. But I believe in most cases sftp servers are configured to use certificates for authentication. Look into your sftp server configuration.

Thank you for reverting. I have been just informed to create scripts for file transfers and till now no information is provided about servers...even server IP ,port,Agent qms, command qm and coordination qm details are not provided.

    Surbhi:

Without information about your Coordination, Command, and Agent queue managers, as well as your SFTP servers, you aren't going to be able to get very far.  The following page contains a pretty decent description of what is needed to configure an MQ MFT topology.  Unfortunately, it doesn't include Protocol Bridge Agent details.

Title: Working with IBM® MQ Managed File Transfer (MQMFT)
    URL: https://community.IBM.com/community/user/integration/viewdocument/working-with-ibm-mq-managed-file-t?CommunityKey=183ec850-4947-49c8-9a2e-8e7c7fc46c64

As you will see, it is identified as intended for an Advanced reader, so there may be a lot of things that are not explained in this document.

This documentation page describes how to transfer files to, or from a Protocol Bridge Agent (PBA), and may be of interest to you.

Title: Transferring files to or from protocol bridge agents
    URL: https://www.IBM.com/docs/en/ibm-mq/9.2?topic=files-transferring-from-protocol-bridge-agents

It would be helpful if your questions, or requests were less general, and more focussed.

    Thanks

Certificates are needed when a channel needs to be encrypted.  It depends upon the channel configuration.

For example, the SSLCAUTH attribute "Defines whether IBM MQ requires a certificate from the TLS client.".

MFT/FTE agents require at least one MQ Queue Manager that has an MQ Advanced License.  If you don't already have a MFT infrastructure in your shop, it may not be cost effective to set up MFT merely as a SFTP bridging solution.

Is there there anything undesirable about using SFTP itself to move files from one server to another?
