Difference between TransmitKbpsThroughput and NetworkTransmitDataThroughput

    Hi,

We are doing  XML monitoring for the DataPower and we are getting the same data for these metrics (TransmitKbpsThroughput and NetworkTransmitDataThroughput).

I didn't find in IBM documentation an explanation, can anybody help explain these metrics!

    Thanks,
    Jala

    Hello Jala,

TransmitKbpsThroughput  was made obsolete in DP v3.6.1 and was replaced at that time with NetworkTransmitDataThroughput. You will not find information about obsolete object (in the product documentation). The reason you can see this object (as obsolete) in SNMP is compliance to SNMP standards. However, when you query the obsolete object, it should state that it's obsolete and its replacement. -F

    Hi Jala,

As of Version 3.6.1,  TransmitKbpsThroughput is obsoleted by NetworkTransmitDataThroughput - they should roughly represent the same data, but NetworkTransmitDataThroughout also has more support for other properties.
