    Hello,

I have questions regarding the DataPower Web Services Operations:

    * What is causing the Web Services Operation Identifier to be changed (increased)?

    * We are storing the Web Services Operations for monitoring, what is the <<<unique ID>>> of the Web Services Operation?

    Thanks,
    Jala

The identifier is unique in the sense that it increments each time a WS statistics operation block is instantiated in memory.  This is against startup, so no restart domain or disabling/enabling of statistics will address this.  It is a 32-bit field so it will cap out and roll over if it reaches the maximum identifier.

    The identifiers will change if:
    - You change/update the WSDL within the web service proxy
    - You restart the device

The unique identifier is to address an SNMP issue where SNMP would not poll all the status provider fields, only the first identifier.  They had to assure a unique ID was given to each entry.

You would  be best served by tracking the service endpoint, port type and operation fields.  The identifier will not be guaranteed to be the same, only that it will be unique.
