Unmonitored Process on Infrastructure tab Application

    Hi Everyone,

    We do have question related several services like Database PostgreSQL, MS SQL and others that showed unmonitored process on infrastructure tab at application services.

    i found several documentation from Instana (Link) that said unmonitored process because instana cant link this process into infrastructure components. My question is, can we still monitor this process so this process still can link to their own infrastructure ?

    Hi Ruli,

    thanks for reaching out in the Instana community.

    The "unmonitored" infrastructure process means we have no additional information in Instana regarding this process. We only know from the trace data it exists. If you want the the process to be monitored, make sure to deploy Instana Agent on the host which runs the database process. In case the database process is a hosted offering, make sure to run one of our Cloud Servicve agents (like IBM Cloud, AWS, Azure or GCP).
