  • 1.  One Instana agent for all the services in VPC?

    Hello
    Please advise is itpossible to use one instann agent to monitor all the EC2 instances in VPC?
    Like something prometheus service discovery? The same for other AWs servives. Please advise.

    Hi, Kostia. You can do it installing the Instana agent on the EC2 instances. See the doc https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/instana-observability/current?topic=technologies-monitoring-aws-ec2.

    Hi Kostia,

    You will need to install one agent on each EC2 host. Once installed on the hosts, the agents will do some automatic service discovery of downstream services such as message queues and databases. As far as I know Instana does not support a single-agent architecture.
