z/OS Connect Enterprise Edition

  • 1.  Is there an option to disable the server name in error responses

    Posted Fri November 27, 2020 12:46 PM
    Hello,

    In some cases when the zOS Connect server returns one of the BAQ errors or warnings, it adds the server URL.

    An example -
    "errorMessage""BAQR0418W: An unsupported media type of null was specified under request URL https://xxxxx.xxxxxxxxx.xxx:nnnn/basepath/v1/path."

    Our API is exposed through an API gateway so the server name is not intended to be shown to the caller. However, the response like above shows the backend server name. Is there a way to avoid this?

    Appreciate any help.

    /Rahul

    @Rahul Hi Rahul,

    Apologies for the delay in replying to your question.
    Which version of z/OS Connect EE are you using? This message (& similar messages) were corrected in z/OS Connect EE version 3.0.35 to no longer include the server URL.

    Regards,

    Hello @Sue BAYLISS,

    Ok. We are currently using V3.0.33 and will verify this after the upgrade.

    Thank you.
