You should NOT mix onbar and ontape. If you are using onbar for backup DO NOT USE ontape (except "fake" backups) otherwise you will LOOSE your backup data.
Onbar is using ixbar file and sysutils database so onbar counts it can get all objects back - if you backup just one logical log with ontape, onbar can't get that for restore purposes. And if you are using ontape for backup purposes, ontape is counting you have all objects in directory/on tape device - if you backup one logical log to onbar, it is not where ontape expects it.
So, again, DO NOT MIX ONTAPE AND ONBAR
