Hi Igor,
According to my notes:
Prior to DB2 V10.1, fix packs could only be installed on licensed
product installs. Developer edition and Express-C editions could
not have fix packs installed. Express-C editions were issued
"ever so often" and to upgrade them you would just uninstall the
current version, then install the new version.
Starting with DB2 V10.1, you can download from the DB2 fix pack page
https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/node/318421 any version and fix pack level and do a full installation.
You can also download from IBM Fix Central. If you do, download the
"server fix pack" not the "universal fix pack" if you are running the
Express-C or Developer edition.
I just tried a basic install of V9.7fp11 but it looks like it is still
a 30-day trial version:
# /tmp/ibm/db2/V9.7/adm/db2licm -l
Product name: "DB2 Personal Edition"
License type: "Trial"
Expiry date: "09/26/2022"
Product identifier: "db2pe"
Version information: "9.7"
Product name: "DB2 Connect Server"
License type: "Trial"
Expiry date: "09/26/2022"
Product identifier: "db2consv"
Version information: "9.7"
So to answer you question, it doesn't look like you can get a newer
fix pack on V9.7 with the Express-C edition. If you could upgrade
to V10.1 you probably could.
Hope that helps.

Subject: DB2 Comunity Edition 9.7.0.4 - updates?
Hello,
i am running (for compatibility reasons) a DB2 Comunity Edition 9.7.0.4 on SLES 12SP5.
I was wondering if there is any later fixpack for this DB2 C.
On IBM Support I have found fixpacks with version 9.7 fp11 - one named universal, one named server.
I have not found any fixpack specific to Comunity Edition.
Can anyone tell me, if 9.7.0.4 is the last available level for DB2 Comunity Edition V9.7?
Can anyone tell me, if the above mentioned fp are applicable (or better, which one, if any)? If applicable, license still remains Comunity Edition?
Thanks a lot and kind regards, Igor
