Subject: ZOAU zIIP eligibility
Hello Roded,
ZOAU is running on CP resources for the most part. If you are interested in zIIP workloads, certain aspects could perhaps be offloaded, but it first needs to be determined how feasible that is given ZOAU frequently initiates MVS workloads outside of z/OS UNIX System Services also. To start, I would recommend filing an idea here such that it can be evaluated and tracked: https://ibm-z-software-portal.ideas.ibm.com/?project=ZOAU
Thanks,

Subject: ZOAU zIIP eligibility
Hi,
I've asked the following question in ZOAU's GitHub discussions (ZOAU zIIP eligibility · IBM zoau-samples · Discussion #81) and have been redirected here.
Taking a shot at a possibly naive question:
We're using Python on Z and ansible-collections/ibm_zos_core with zoau under the hood for increasingly large portions of our z/OS CI workload.
While Python, in which ibm_zos_core written, is zIIP eligible, we suspect that zoau's modules are not (our ansible playbooks which utilize zoau considerably seem to mostly run on GCP).
We were wondering if there are any plans to make the zoau modules zIIP eligible. Such a change would considerably facilitate development on Z for us and I suspect others as well.
Thanks!
Roded
