  • 1.  Wrong PVU value for Oracle T4-2 hardware

    Posted Fri October 30, 2020 02:36 PM

    Hello,

after upgrading to ILMT v9.2.21 we found an issue with the PVU value for Oracle T4-2 hardware. According to the PVU table one core has 70 PVU but ILMT displays 100 PVU per core. Also in the report "PVU subcapacity product" for the T4-2 hardware under processor "Other Other One core All Existing" is listed.

Please check this issue and provide an update to the internal PVU table.

Appreciate a quick fix here as the PVU calculation is currently wrong.

You have to check how many sockets is the hardware running since 100 PVU per core is used for 4 sockets machines. If this is 2 socket machine instead then you have to open support ticket so we could check what was discovered by hardware scanner and apply fix if output is not correct. Since we confirm the problem requires fix then you may set the 70 PVU per core rate manually in LMT as work around:

    Hello Piotr,

I have already opened a support ticket because it's a 2 sockets machine and PVU counting was correct until version 9.2.19.

    Regards,

    Tobias
