Has any body used the integration process logging services to monitor the integration process in monitor.

We created a process using the process metadata and step metadata services. When try to create a service and log information the service fails when I am trying to update the status of step to completed. It fails saying the processinstance and step id combination does not exist in process step table. what can be done about this.
