Andreu,
What release are you upgrading from? I wonder if you need to be on something like 1.1.9.9 to handle any changes to anonymous, etc, before you look for 1.1.9.10.

I'll do it, it was just that in the past this check was very useful, now... well, it can give you a false sense of security that you're up to date.

Just took an old image and performed the check and indeed it says "No updates are available".
I would recommend to install the PTF and point all your IBM i ACS instances to that system... makes life so much easier (unless you push the software by means of a Windows solution).
PS. Having SSL on a system definition has nothing to do with the update check.

Activating SSL didn't change the check results...
I don't know if someone else can test it... I did from different PC's and never told me that there is a new version available for this 1.1.9.10

You can still leave the dropdown "empty" (it contains <select a system>) in which case I see a TLS connection on port 443 (ie. HTTPS) to public.dhe.ibm.com
Guess this is the version check, how the actual transfer of the code is implemented (FTP or the same HTTPS connection) is something I don't see as I'm up-to-date now.
@Andreu Rul ... you don't have a firewall in place that would prevent this ?

Can you still configure iACS "Check for Updates" to go to IBM directly or are you now limited to only a local system?
According to https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/ibm-i-access-client-solutions-acs-check-updates-feature it is supposed to work but no direct instructions on how to go to IBM directly are given. Also it says "it will create an FTP connection using User ID Anonymous" and I think IBM declared war on that.
