I installed IBM SPSS Statistics version 27 on my MacbookPro MacOS Catalina 10.15.7. The installation process went smoothly. However, whenever I open the program, an error message appears saying “SPSS Statistics quit unexpectedly. Click Reopen to open the application again. Click Report to see more detailed information and send a report to Apple.” When I click Reopen, the same error message reappears.
I restarted my computer and opened the program again, the same error message appeared.
I uninstalled the software and reinstalled it, then opened the program and the same error message still appeared.
I dowloaded the interim fix "27.0-IM-S27STATC-MAC-IF006".
After I applied this fix using Terminal, it said "Patch complete, please start application for trying."
So, I opened SPSS statistics again and the same thing happened.
The error message appeared saying "SPSS quit unexpectedly".
This is my third time asking the same question here.
I also want to open a case hoping that I could talk to one of IBM staffs.
In order to do that I have to know my customer number which I do not know.
I emailed my vendor which is a Japanese company called 'Sandi' to ask them about my customer number but since I speak English and they do not provide a consult in English. They told me to contact IBM support.
According to document number 473051, I understand that to get a support for IBM SPSS Student Version or Graduate Pack software is to contact my vendor. However, as I mentioned earlier, my vendor told me to contact https://www.ibm.com/mysupport/s/forumshome if I speak English.
