  • 1.  Where do I go to download AIX 6.1

    You can't download the entire OS from fixcentral, only FIXES.

    The only way to download the base OS is through IBM entitlement services with a customer number and support contract. I'd suggest you contact your IBM support or sales staff and request a CD.

    You'll need to register an IBM id if you don't already have one, and you'll need to register your customer number and then enable your machine types and serial numbers. Once you've done this you'll have access to download entitled software or order it on CD/DVD.

    If you run into trouble, AIX SupportLine or your local sales team should be able to assist you with this.
