    Take a look at Chapter 3: “Working with Packages” in the “Developer User’s Guide” for a description of Integration Server (IS) packages.
    Integration Server (IS) packages group all the components of a logical unit in an integration solution. They are not like Java packages–they share the same name is all. IS packages are not part of the namespace. They are a configuration control mechanism only.
