    Dear All,

    Im checking and verifying the WAS log management tool/s which can store , efficiently search SYSOUT,SYSERR and application logs getting generated by applications deployed.

    Version of Webpshere is 7.0.0.31 and currently 105 ears are deployed generating logs as per properties defined in log4j properties file , rolled over upto 4mb 5 files max.

    Verified splunk tool which found good but expensive and so looking for open source alternative which can fit my basic requirements of search , store and alert watchers for unexpected events which I can get see at web dashboard and mailbox as well.
        
    Could anyone please suggest any open source tool in this scenario / how ELK would help.
