We recently  installed RDT V9.1 .

We have interest in zosMF but as i read that Websphere V7R0 is pre requesite .

i dont understand  if Websphere comes pre-configured or have to be configured.

Following this  manual

z/OS Version 1 Release 13

Implementation , and reading this Section

"Setting up WebSphere OEM,z/OSMF, CIM, and Capacity Provisioning"

when  starting task

S BBN7ACR,JOBNAME=BBNS001,ENV=BBNBASE.BBNNODE.BBNS001

i´ve get message that "was.env" was not found ...

If someone can help  ... Thank you in advance !!!

Setting up z/OSMF is not for the feint of heart.  May I suggest an alternate approach?  When using z/OS 2.1 with RDT 9.1, z/OSMF comes pre-configured.  You can use sysp=AL to ipl and z/OSMF will start automatically.  Don't forget the additional licensing requirements when using z/OS 2.1.

In file 1 - Quickstart of installation process  i´ve found this manual -

z/OS 1.13 Distribution for Rational Development and

Test Environment for System z V 9.1.0

It indicates several steps for ACTIVATE WAS8 ou WAS8.5 and z/OS MF .

I tried activate WAS 8 but the link for get the ADMIN CONSOLE -

http://s0w1.dal-ebis.ihost.com :9605/ibm/console  dont worked;;; i change for my server ... but i cant discover what port is to open ?

well, i will continue trying to start....a very very slow process...last time about 1 hour...

If you have RD&T 9.1, you have access to both z/OS 1.13 and 2.1.  You have to order the correct media pack, but both are available with RD&T 9.1 at no additional charge.

I agree that setting up z/OSMF from scratch is very difficult.
